Preparing Your Home For Marketing - Top Tips for Photos

We always strive to capture the best possible photos for your home and below are some tips to help you to prepare. We would love to help you stage your home, however most of the preparation can be organised prior to photos and virtual tour being done being recorded.

We suggest that you;

  • Move or re-arrange furniture to maximise the space, clear clutter from all rooms.

  • Remove/ hide branded bottles/ cans, spices, cloths, draining boards etc from kitchen, pet food bowls, water bowls.

  • Make beds and de-clutter

  • Pick up toys and move them to a storage cupboard when the photos an virtual tour is being done

  • Move garden items that would cause a distraction and if you have garden furniture it is a good idea to have that in the photos.

  • Remove personal items from W.C and Bathrooms (shampoo, toothbrushes, deodorant, towels, bleach cleaning products)

  • Turn all overhead lights and lamps ON

  • Turn all TVs OFF

  • Turn all computer screens OFF

  • Open blinds/curtains to let in outside light

  • Remove personal photographs if you prefer not to have family/ personal photos shown ( replace with general landscape/object photographs)

  • Make all beds

  • Remove small floor rugs to reveal actual flooring (It makes the rooms look bigger)

  • Place all shoes/jackets into cupboards and not on display in the hall, a common place for bathrobes is behind bedroom doors, please remove these also.
